Born in La Havana, Cuba, she began her musical training at a very young age and later specialized in choral conducting. She was a member of the Schola Cantorum Coralina, from 1993 to 2001, participating in various competitions, festivals, and tours both nationally and internationally. She also founded the Pìccolo Children’s Choir and collaborated with UNESCO on the “Queremos cantar!” project. From 1995 to 2001, she conducted the Encore Choir of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of La Havana, which won several competitions.
She completed her studies at the University of the Arts in Cuba in 2000, earning two degrees in music: Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance. After moving to Barcelona, she joined the IPSI School as part of the Choir Project, where she conducted the begginner-level Bartók and Kodály choirs from 2003 to 2021.
In 2008, she began working as a voice teacher and assistant choir director, studying in depth the vocal development and music of the choir members.
Committed to educational innovation, in 2022 she completed two master’s degrees at the Autonomous University of Barcelona: one in Musicology and Early Music Performance, and the other in Educational Leadership and Innovation.
She has been the Choir Director since October 2024. In addition, she conducts the Kodály and Corelli choirs, where she focuses on training the voices that will later join the Vivaldi Choir.
